Tucson Hosting Virtual Town Hall On Bike Boulevards On Wednesday
The city of Tucson is debating whether to build bike boulevards at 8th Avenue, 18th Street, Campbell Avenue and Pinal Vista. Here's why.

TUCSON, AZ — The city of Tucson is hosting a virtual town hall on Wednesday to discuss three bicycle boulevards across the city.
The three projects are located at 18th Street from Verdugo Park to James Thomas Park, in addition to 8th Avenue in southern downtown Tucson and at South Cambell Avenue and Pinal Vista.
The project's features includes the addition of speed bumps and neighborhood traffic circles, in addition to push-button crossings at major roads and wayfinding signage and roadway markings along the route, the city said.

The bike boulevard, which is funded as part of 2018's Prop. 407 Tucson Delivers Parks and Connections package, would connect different regions with The Loop or Julian Wash Greenway.
The virtual town hall discussing the projects will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in English and 7 p.m. in Spanish, with residents being able to join the call here.
