Upcoming Road Repairs Could Cause Delays In Tucson

Pavement patching could delay motorists in downtown Tucson on Thursday, March 5.

TUCSON, AZ — This Thursday, March 5, pavement patching road repairs in downtown Tucson could cause traffic and delays for commuters in these areas.

In a statement Tuesday, the city of Tucson announced Downtown Links Constructors and the city's transportation department will will work on several stretches of street from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday.

Drivers in the area of these repairs should watch for lane restrictions and flaggers directing traffic during operations.

Repairs will take place in the following places:

7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • • Seventh Avenue between Sixth Street and Seventh Street

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • • Sixth Street between Main Avenue and Church Avenue
  • • Stone Avenue from Sixth Street to just north of Fifth Street
  • • Sixth Avenue between Sixth Street and Seventh Street
  • • Church Avenue between Sixth Street and Franklin Street
  • • Seventh Avenue/Toole Avenue to Church Avenue/Franklin Street

According to the city, scheduled repairs are subject to change depending on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
