Winter Storm Warning In Effect In Tucson
Snow could make its way to Tucson on Monday and Tuesday with a winter storm warning in effect, according to the National Weather Service.

TUCSON, AZ — Tucsonans might want to break out their boots and jackets this week.
The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a winter storm warning for the area on Monday and Tuesday, with a slight chance of snow.

The winter weather advisory will remain in effect from 8 p.m. Monday evening until 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Approximately one to three inches of snow is expected, as is a slight dusting of snow in the city of Tucson; Mt. Lemmon has already begun receiving its share and the road to the mountain has been closed to visitors. Winds are expected to gust as high as 35 miles per hour throughout southeastern Arizona and the area could see hail.

The NWS warns that slippery roads could lead to unsafe traffic conditions, and suggests drivers slow down and exercise caution on their commutes.

The forecast predicts rain on both days, with a low of 33 degrees set for Monday night and a low of 26 degrees set for Tuesday night.
