Woman Hit And Killed Crossing Tucson Street: Police
The woman suffered fatal injuries when she was hit by a car, police said. The driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with police.
TUCSON, AZ — A 48-year-old woman was killed Friday in Tucson after being hit by a car, according to a release from the Tucson Police Department.
Police say on Friday, soon after 4:30 p.m., Natalie Obregon was crossing the street at the intersection of Prince Road and Campbell Avenue when she was fatally hit.
According to the release, the driver of a Honda Ridgeline was going east on Prince Road, came to a stop at the red light, then turned right onto Campbell Avenue. Obregon was crossing the street against the don't walk sign, police say, and was hit by the Honda.

Tucson Fire arrived at the scene and began treating Obregon. They brought her to Banner University Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.
The driver remained on the scene, police say, and cooperated with the investigation. A DUI officer determined the driver was not impaired at the time.
