ALTADENA, CA — Victoria Valentino said it felt like a “gut punch” when news broke Wednesday that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned Bill Cosby's sexual assault conviction, according to a report from Spectrum News.
Valentino, who lives in Altadena, was in the courtroom April 2018 when the now 83-year-old Cosby was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison after being found guilty of sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004 at his Philadelphia mansion. Valentino and more than 50 other women had come forward with accusations over the years that they had were attacked by the comedian.
Valentino was only 26 when she told Spectrum News she was drugged and raped by Cosby in 1969. No charges were ever filed.

Cosby has repeatedly denied the allegations against him and said all of the contacts he's had with his accusers, including Constand and Valentino, were consensual. He was even denied a parole hearing after refusing to participate in a sex offender treatment program, according to USA Today.
"I have never changed my stance nor my story," he said in a statement following his release from prison. "I have always maintained my innocence."

Pennsylvania's high court overturned Cosby's conviction based on an immunity deal he had with the Montgomery County district attorney’s office that protected him from prosecution in return for testifying against himself during his sexual assault trial.
Valentino fielded multiple interview requests seeking her thoughts after the news broke, according to Spectrum News.
“As the day grew and I was doing one interview after another, the anger grew, and I was just becoming outraged," she told the news network. "By the end of the day, I was just so angry, and ... they keep talking about his justice. But what about justice for us?"
