Chargers Start Conditioning Camp
The Los Angeles Chargers began their nine-week 2019 offseason workout and conditioning program this week.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The Los Angeles Chargers had "a lot of good work" Monday as they began their nine-week 2019 offseason workout and conditioning program, coach Anthony Lynn said.
"For the guys that are here and showed up today, absolutely I'm pleased with that," Lynn said after the session at the Chargers Hoag Performance Center training facility in Costa Mesa.
Quarterback Philip Rivers was excused from the session, Lynn said.

"Philip is with his family on vacation," Lynn said. "He does a family vacation around Easter every year. Easter was pushed back this year, so I didn't want him showing up here just for today and tomorrow, and then going back with his family in Florida."
The initial two-week phase of the workout program is limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation under terms of the league's collective bargaining agreement.
