Densest Population in the Country?
Census data reveals the most densely populated urban center in the U.S.

If you’ve ever cursed your steering wheel while stuck in Los Angeles rush-hour traffic, then you probably suspect a lot of people live here.
L.A., Long Beach and Anaheim account for the densest population in the country, with some 7,000 people for every square mile in that zone, according to 2010 census data, as reported by KPBS.
California has the most urban centers in the U.S., with 95 percent of its population living in them, KPBS reported.

Altadena's population is 42,777 people, according to 2010 Census data. And while many locals may have horrific commutes, an interactive map Patch shared earlier this week shows Altadena residents' commute time at about 28 minutes.
