Altadena’s Doo Dah Queen Talks About Making a Difference
Susann Edmonds, who will reign as queen at Saturday's Doo Dah Parade, spoke with former Doo Dah Queen Michelle Mills for the Pasadena Star-News.

The 36th Occasional Pasadena Doo Dah Parade is Saturday and though the occasion is named for and takes place in the city to the south, this year is particularly linked to Altadena.
and the Doo Dah Queen is Altadena resident Susann Edmonds.
Edmonds won over judges at queen tryouts this year with a pirate themed costume and song, as well as bottles of her Charlotte de Berry's Pirate Elixir Doo Dah Berry Blend, part of her Jabberwocky Foods line that is available at Webster’s Fine Stationers and Beyond the Olive in Pasadena, according to a Pasadena Star-News piece written by former Doo Dah Queen Michelle Mills.

"I think that part of being a queen is what you're going to contribute," Edmonds told Mills, which is why a portion of the elixir sales proceeds benefit the Light Bringer Project (LBP) that provides arts and arts education for children and the mentally ill in Pasadena and Los Angeles.
Find out more about Edmonds, how she plans to use her Doo Dah Queen crown to do good and what wacky ensemble she’ll have at the parade in the Star-News piece here.
