FBI and Sheriff Search, Make Arrest at Problematic Altadena Home

Evidence of narcotics use was found in the messy home on West Harriet Street.

One person was arrested and several people were detained Friday when Altadena Sheriff’s Station deputies and the Federal Bureau of Investigation served a search warrant at an Altadena home, according to a Sheriff’s Department release.

Located in the 200 block of West Harriet Street, the home was found in “complete disarray” and had evidence of narcotics use. Trash was piled inside and outside and cabinets and most of the interior doors were kicked in or broken, deputies noted.

Multiple people were detained at the 3 p.m. search and the primary suspect was arrested for weapons violations.

Residents told deputies that the home has been an issue for residents in the neighborhood for a while, with foot and vehicle traffic and people hanging out in the front.

Detectives agreed that the home was an issue “in an otherwise mostly pristine neighborhood,” according to the release.
