Hiker Stabbed In Altadena
Authorities arrested a transient believed to have stabbed a hiker Wednesday evening in Altadena.
ALTADENA, CA — A male hiker was stabbed Wednesday evening in Altadena, allegedly by a man believed to be a transient who was later taken into custody.
The victim was stabbed multiple times about 8 p.m. in the area of Altadena Drive and Midwick Drive, according to Lt. David Holwager, the watch commander at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Crescenta Valley Station.
He was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena and was expected to survive, Holwager said.

The suspect was taken into custody and then brought to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries, the lieutenant said.
It's unclear how the suspect was injured, according to Holwager, who said a knife was recovered from the suspect.
