Hiker Stranded In Altadena Rescued By LA County Fire Helicopter
A 54-year-old Pasadena man who became stranded in the hills above Altadena was rescued Monday by an LA County Fire Dept helicopter crew.
PASADENA, CA -- A 54-year-old Pasadena man who became stranded in the hills above Altadena was rescued by a Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopter crew Monday night.
Los Angeles County fire and Altadena and Mountain rescue teams found the man around 10 p.m. and hoisted him to safety, Deputy Dan Paige of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Altadena Station said.

The man, whose name was not released, was on a path he normally travels in the Rubio Canyon Hills, near Rubio Vista Road and Pleasentridge Drive, when he became stranded, according to Paige.

The man used a strobe light on his phone to help rescue teams find him, KCAL9 reported.
The man may have suffered a leg injury, Paige said.
