Institute of Domestic Technology Adds Bacon, Bread, Kraut Classes
Altadena's foodcrafting mecca is also holding an AgriTour organic farm and winery field trip in May.

The Institute of Domestic Technology, based in Altadena and headed by Altadena Farmers’ Market founder Joseph Shuldiner, appears to be going full-speed ahead in its second year.
Already celebrating food and drink crafting with classes on making jam, cheese, cocktails and more, the Institute has some delicious new plans up its sleeve.
Newer class offerings include:

The Institute’s monthly signature cocktail crafting class has been held in the secret basement speakeasy of the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills and the Institute also has access to the vintage kitchen, which is “very Downton Abbey,” Shuldiner noted in a statement.
If that’s not enough for you, IDM is hosting a new “AgriTour”—an organic farm and biodynamic winery field trip—from May 3-5 in Santa Ynez.
