Kick Off Your Summer (And Your Shoes!) At A Free Concert In The Park!
Pasadena Community Orchestra presents a rare opportunity for any and all to enjoy accessible orchestral music for free in a casual venue.

Join Pasadena Community Orchestra for a relaxing evening of "user-friendly" classical music. Music Director Bethany Pflueger leads these accomplished amateur musicians in a program of marches, light classics, film scores and Americana in the park's band shell. New this year, the Los Angeles Guild of Puppetry adds a stunning presentation, featuring giant fabric banners and flags, to illustrate the rollicking, dramatic tale of Von Suppé’s “Light Cavalry Overture.” (Check out the Guild’s website at http://laguildofpuppetry.org/.) You’ll also be on hand for the world premier of “The Dark Journey,” by young, local composer Richard Bruner (hear him before he joins the ranks of great modern composers like John Williams!). Picnics on the lawn, kids playing or taking a close-up look at the musicians on stage, and even a kid-centric "children's march" around the park keep it relaxing for everyone. It all makes for a perfect start to a SoCal summer.
