Teen Slain In Altadena Drive-By Identified
Authorities hope someone will come forward with information leading to his killer.
ALTADENA, CA — Homicide detectives are asking for the community's help in bringing to justice the killer who took the life of an teen and wounded a child in Altadena Monday.
It was a drive-by shooting that happened Monday afternoon just before 5 p.m. in the 2100 Block of Santa Anita Avenue, according to the sheriff's department. William Harris IV, 19, of Pasadena, who shot and rushed to a hospital where he died, the coroner's office reported. Another victim, a boy was also wounded. He was hospitalized in unknown condition.
"The suspect ... was seen shooting at the victims from inside a vehicle," a sheriff's statement said. "The vehicle description is unknown, and he was last seen driving southbound on Santa Anita Avenue."

No suspect description was available. Investigators were unsure of a motive for the crime. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
