Two-Acres Scorched In Altadena Brushfire
The blaze began Sunday night near Hollyslope Road and Loma Alta Drive, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
ALTADENA, CA — Firefighters made quick work of a small, two-acre brushfire that erupted in Altadena Sunday night.
No injuries were reported from the fire and a cause has not been determined. However, police did arrest a man on suspicion of arson after he was spotted walking away from the scene, according to California Highway Patrol. Information about the man was not immediately available.
The fire was reported around 8:40 p.m. near Hollyslope Road and Loma Alta Drive, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Firefighters drug barriers of cleared vegetation around the blaze to prevent its spread.

Firefighters were able to stop the fire’s forward progress around 10:21 p.m. and spent the rest of the evening putting out hot spots in the area, the L.A. County Fire Department said.
