Gold Line construction starting September 9 will result in the closure of the intersection of Ist N. Avenue and Santa Clara Street for more than five months.
During that time motorists are advised to use the detour pictured above.
In addition to the closure of that intersection, a short section of nearby Front Street will be permanently shut down to accommodate the line.
Motorists should expect delays in the area. Local businesses will remain open during the construction.
Work will be carried out from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday, but the intersection will remain closed even while the job site is shut down.
