Arcadia School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Arcadia is August 16 for Arcadia High School and August 17 for elementary and middle schools. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Arcadia Unified School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/15: Teachers Return/Teacher Preparation Day
• 8/16: Arcadia High School First Day of School, Elementary and Middle Schools Teacher Preparation Day
• 8/17: Elementary and Middle Schools First Day of School

September

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)

October

• 10/6: No School for Students (Professional Development Day for Teachers)
• 10/9 - 10/13: Elementary Schools Minimum Days (Student-Led Conferences)
• 10/13: Middle Schools Minimum Day, End of First Quarter

November

• 11/9: Elementary Schools Minimum Day, End of First Trimester
• 11/10: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/20 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/19 - 12/21: Arcadia High School Minimum Days
• 12/21: End of Second Quarter
• 12/22: Arcadia High School No School for Students (Teacher Preparation Day), Middle Schools Minimum Day, End of Second Quarter
• 12/25 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day)

February

• 2/14 - 2/16: Elementary Schools Minimum Days (Student/Parent Conferences)
• 2/19: No School (Presidents’ Day)

March

• 3/2: Elementary Schools Minimum Day, End of Second Trimester
• 3/16: Middle Schools Minimum Day, End of Third Quarter
• 3/19: No School

April

• 4/2 - 4/6: No School (Spring Vacation)

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)
