Coroner IDs Body Found In 210 Freeway Crawlspace

A man was discovered dead inside an Arcadia freeway overcrossing. On Wednesday, his remains were misidentified earlier this week.

ARCADIA, CA — This week, a body was discovered under the westbound Foothill 210 freeway overpass.

He was found midday, Tuesday, California Highway Patrol Officers said, at the 210 and Michillinda Avenue freeway overcrossing in what authorities described as a crawlspace.

Thomas Jasper IV, 35, was identified as the deceased, California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Coroner's office said.

His cause of death and city of residence was not released as of this report.

The coroner's office originally identified the victim as 31-year-old Douglas Thatcher, but on Friday, coroner's officials said Thatcher was actually the person killed in a traffic crash that occurred about 12:20 p.m. Tuesday on the Foothill Freeway near the Hill Avenue exit in Pasadena.
