Driver Dies As Car Smashes Into Flower Shop

ARCADIA, CA - A person driving a rental car was killed when they lost control of the vehicle and smashed into a local flower store window, police said.

A witness told police the vehicle was speeding westbound on Live Oak Avenue at Las Tunas Drive when the driver lost control, hit the center median and the vehicle became airborne and crashed into the business, according to the Arcadia Police Department.

The vehicle, a red Hyundai Elantra, was a rental, police said.

The age, gender and name of the victim was not disclosed.
