Sunday, August 25
At 12:44 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical assist in the 400 block of South Baldwin Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel evaluated a female patient who was suffering from head pain, with a 1” laceration to the forehead from a fall. The patient received advanced life support at the scene; including oxygen therapy, spinal immobilization, intravenous access, and wound care. The patient was transported to Arcadia Methodist Emergency Department for further evaluation and treatment.

Monday, August 26
At 8:52 p.m., Truck 105 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to the 400 block of South Baldwin Avenue to investigate a hazardous condition. Fire crews arrived on scene to find nine employees suffering from throat irritation. Fire personnel removed the employees from the area and began patient assessment. Battalion 105 and Engine 106 were requested to respond to the scene to assist with the investigation. The source of the irritation was determined to be a faulty fragrance dispenser. The dispenser was disabled and the area was ventilated. All of the employees declined treatment, as their symptoms subsided when they were exposed to fresh air.

Tuesday, August 27
At 7:30 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical assist in the 1100 block of West Duarte Road. Fire crews arrived to find that a 64 year old female suffering from heart palpitations. Paramedics provided advanced life support measures; including intravenous access, 12-lead electrocardiogram and oxygen therapy. The patient was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital for further evaluation.
Wednesday, August 28
At 11:00 a.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical emergency in the 100 block of Christina Street. Fire crews arrived on scene and found one male patient with a severe laceration to his forearm caused by a power saw. Paramedics assessed the patient, controlled the bleeding, and transported the patient to a local hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Thursday, August 29
At 12:42 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical assist in the 700 block of West Camino Real. Upon arrival, fire personnel evaluated a female patient who was suffering from shortness of breath. The patient received advanced life support at the scene; including oxygen therapy, 12 lead cardiac monitoring, intravenous access, and drug therapy. The patient was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital Emergency Department for further evaluation and treatment.
Friday, August 30
At 12:23 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical assist in the 900 block of West Hugo Reid Drive. Fire crews arrived to find 44 year old female suffering from the sudden onset of abdominal pain. Paramedics provided advanced life support measures; including intravenous access, 12 lead electrocardiogram, and oxygen therapy. The patient was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital for further evaluation.
Saturday, August 31
At 7:37 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical assist in the 100 block of West Santa Anita Terrace. Fire crews arrived to find a 61 year old male who had experienced multiple syncopal episodes. Paramedics provided advanced life support measures; including intravenous access, 12 lead electrocardiogram, and oxygen therapy. The patient was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital for further evaluation.

At 1:29 p.m., Engine 107 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical assist in the 1800 block of Highland Oaks Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel evaluated a female patient who was suffering from chest pain. The patient received advanced life support at the scene; including oxygen therapy, 12 lead cardiac monitoring, intravenous access, and drug therapy. The patient was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital Emergency Department for further evaluation and treatment.
Monday, September 2
At 4:09 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical assist in the 1000 block of West Duarte Road. Fire crews arrived to find a 25 year old female suffering from severe abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. Paramedics provided advance life support measures on scene; including intravenous access, administration of pain and anti-nausea medication, 12-lead electrocardiogram, and oxygen therapy. The patient was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital further evaluation.
Tuesday, September 3
At 9:26 a.m., Truck 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical assist in the 100 block of East Wisteria Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel evaluated a female patient who was suffering from severe abdominal pain. The patient received advanced life support at the scene; including oxygen therapy, 12 lead cardiac monitoring, and intravenous access. The patient was transported to Arcadia Methodist Emergency Department for further evaluation and treatment.
Wednesday, September 4
At 4:07 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the intersection of South Santa Anita Avenue and Le Roy Avenue. Fire crews arrived on scene and found a 13 year old patient lying in the street after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street. Paramedics performed advanced life support measures; including cardiac monitoring, cerebral spinal immobilization, splinting, and pain management. Patient was transported to the pediatric trauma center at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center for further treatment and evaluation.
Thursday, September 5
At 6:59 p.m., Engine 105, Engine 106, Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and Battalion 105, along with units from Monrovia Fire Department, responded to a reported structure fire in the 00 block of East Genoa Avenue. Fire crews arrived to find a two-story condominium complex with a well involved vehicle fire inside a garage. Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire, which was contained to the vehicle and the garage area. Further investigation revealed that the cause of the fire originated under the engine compartment of the vehicle. Fire sprinklers in the garage were credited for preventing the fire from spreading to the living area of the condo and adjacent units.
Friday, September 6
At 12:43 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a traffic collision in the intersection of Second Avenue and Duarte Road. Fire crews arrived on scene to find a two vehicle accident with four patients. Monrovia Squad 101, Truck 105, and a private ambulance were requested to assist with the treatment and transportation of the patients. All four patients were assessed and placed in full cerebral spinal precautions. Two patients were transported to the closest trauma center due to their injuries. The remaining patients were transported to a local hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Saturday, September 7
At 10:26 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical assist in the 1100 block of Sunset Boulevard. Upon arrival, fire personnel evaluated a male patient who was suffering from general weakness and slurred speech. The patient received advanced life support at the scene; including oxygen therapy, 12 lead cardiac monitoring, intravenous access, and blood glucose monitoring. The patient was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital Emergency Department for further evaluation and treatment.
