TEMPLE CITY, CA —A Temple City man accused of gunning down his next-door neighbor was charged with murder on Wednesday, according to officials.

Massimo Barbagallo, 46, faces gun allegations stemming from the shooting of Christian Alarcon, according to Ricardo Santiago of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Monday evening, Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies found the 26-year-old man shot in the chest. He was pronounced dead at a hospital. They learned of the fight between the victim and Barbagallo, who was arrested about 90 minutes later, sheriff's Lt. Robert Westphal said.

Officers discovered a firearm during the arrest, Westphal said.

Media reported that the victim was gunned down outside his home, in front of his young children, when he confronted the suspect over surveillance cameras aimed at the victim's home. According to neighbors, there had been multiple disputes between the two.
