New Hair Salon For Kids Opens in Arcadia

Cookie Cutters Haircuts, outfitted with play area and entertaining cutting stations, is aimed at children, but parents may love it, too!

ARCADIA, CA – A new hair salon designed for youngsters -- with an indoor playground and airplane and firetruck barber chairs - is open for business in Arcadia.

Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids, located at 304 E. Huntington Dr., two doors down from Starbucks, is the third Cookie Cutters in the Los Angeles area, and the first launched by Kevin Feely and wife Yao.

“As parents of a 6-year-old and 4-year-old, we have personally seen the magic that a Cookie Cutters Haircut experience can bring to our own children and are excited to bring that same joy to kids and parents in our area,” said Kevin, whose career included working in the toy industry. “When families come to Cookie Cutters they discover how much fun a children’s haircut can actually be.

Tiny clients can choose seating from kid-friendly, "vehicle" barber chairs, select entertainment to watch on individual televisions at each station and are presented with balloons and lollipops at the haircuts' end. First-time haircuts for toddlers come with commemorative photos and hair clippings.

"Our goal is to provide all children, including those with special needs or sensory issues, with an enjoyable experience, pleasant memories and the desire to keep coming back,” Kevin said.
