POOCH & GROOM
Recently, I was on vacation. A friend knew I was looking for a black and white Maltese. She sent me photos and videos from an establishment in Temple City that she said is amazing. I fell in love with the puppy immediately and she brought me to him when I got home. So, I thought it would be interesting to learn more about the breeder who brought me my knew love. I sat down with the owner, Ryan B. Park at Pooch and Groom, to find out what makes someone so good at something so specific.

I have loved animals since I was young. I majored in zoology in university. I worked at Samsung Everland Zoo in Korea as an animal keeper. I want to do this kind of thing naturally, so I keep working.
What is your background what did you do before this?
It’s always been animal related. I trained dogs. I always get updated dog related licenses whenever I get the opportunity.
Where were you born and what was your life like as a child?
I was born in Jeonju, Korea. When I was young, I was just quiet and liked to play with my friends. I lived a normal life living with good parents. And I always liked to visit my grandmother because there were many dogs at her house. So I could meet many dogs naturally. When I served in the army, my specialty was communication. But an officer told me to give the army puppy a walk after feeding it. So my career started to change just like that. My major was computer, but after finishing the army, I went back to college. I have studied animals and have been doing it ever since.
