Matt Denny's Ale House held its annual head-shaving soiree for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, raising $44,198 for childhood cancer research. This marks the 12th anniversary of the fundraiser.
More than 100 community members, including firemen from the Arcadia Fire Department and officers from the Arcadia Police Department, had their heads shaved onstage by professional hair stylist from Arcadia’s Del Sol Salon and Spa or a child cancer patient from City of Hope.
St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the world’s largest nonprofit, volunteer-based organization that hosts head-shaving events worldwide. Since its inception in 2000, the organization has raised more than $100 million for childhood cancer research.
