2 Berkeley Suspects Arrested On Weapons Charges

The suspects were identified as 22-year-old Berkeley man and a 21-year-old Oakland man, police said.

BERKELEY, CA — A vehicle enforcement stop early Monday morning led to the arrests of two suspects on weapons charges, Berkeley police said.

An officer at around 2:25 a.m. conducted the stop in the area of San Pablo Avenue and 63rd Street and additional officers arrived to assist, police said.

Officers immediately noticed a handgun on the rear passenger floorboard and found two loaded handguns during a subsequent vehicle search on probable cause according to police.

Both were arrested on suspicion of multiple firearms violations according to police.
