Berkeley Festival Announces Art Awards
Jacquelyn Klinger and Stefan Voge took first place with their drawing of Medusa-like goddess entitled, "Light Within."
BERKELEY, CA — An annual North Berkeley event celebrating art and sweets announced the winners of an art contest featured at the 22nd Annual Berkeley Chocolate and Chalk Art Festival.
Jacquelyn Klinger and Stefan Voge chalked their way into first place with the drawing of Medusa-like goddess emanating light from her torso entitled, "Light Within."
Sam Spevack took second with "Violin #2" and ACCI Gallery artist Victoria Bloedau placed third with a thematic work entitled, "Know Your Cocoa."

Eleven other works were included as runner’s ups and 37 additional works of chalk art were awarded honorable mentions.
“Youth mentions” were awarded to 28 young participants.

Winners took home cash prizes courtesy of Safeway and a grant from the Berkeley Civic Arts Commission while the runners up were awarded gift cards from Books Inc. or Love at First Bite.
