Berkeley High School Presents Spring Dance Show
This year's theme 'Power equals Achieve' will be presented in different forms of dances from Brazil, Africa, and Haiti.

From Berkeley High School: Inspired this year by the theme, “Power equals Achieve,” the evening is sure to delight, surprise and engage the audience with performances of the African Diaspora, which will include Ibo (Oppression/Struggle) and Mayi/Ze’po’l (Cleansing/Healing) from Haiti, Capoeira/Maculele and Samba from Brazil, Trinidad Carnival Dance, Nepalese, Ethiopian dance forms as well as more contemporary fare of modern, hip hop, fusion, praise dance, and spoken word of the urban griots/storytellers/rappers.
With pieces choreographed by both teachers and students, this is certainly not a performance to be missed! Support the arts and Berkeley High School students as they breathe life into dance both ancient and modern, and bring insights into who they are and some of the journeys and challenges they have embarked on and been confronted with this year. There is something for everyone.
