Berkeley Holds Chocolate & Chalk Festival With Modifications
The theme for this year's event is "Art Sparks Joy."

BERKELEY, CA — An annual North Berkeley event celebrating art and sweets will be held later this month with modifications, organizers said.
The 22nd Annual Chocolate & Chalk Festival will be held June 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the sidewalks along Shattuck and Cedar streets.
The theme for this year’s event is “Art Sparks Joy.”

Assigned sidewalk areas will be provided to artists working in groups or individually with no fees.
The first 25 to preregister get a free box of chalk.

Participants can also register on the day of the even at the event booth at Shattuck and Cedar colored chalk boxes will be sold for $10 (cash).
The event will feature a contest with cash prizes up to $150 going to the top three placers. An additional ten runners up will get $25 gift certificates from Books, Inc.
The festival will feature no formal chocolate tasting, but local businesses will be offer special chocolate treats and gift items for sale.
This event is produced by Another Bullwinkel Show and cosponsored by the North Shattuck Association, City of Berkeley Civic Arts, and Books Inc.
