
MONTEREY COUNTY, CA — A 67-year-old Berkeley man died Tuesday when his pickup truck overturned on northbound U.S. Highway 101 in unincorporated Monterey County near King City, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The crash was reported at 4:26 p.m. on northbound U.S. Highway 101 near the junction with Jolon Road.
The victim was driving a black 1998 Toyota Tacoma at about 65 mph when the truck drifted onto the right shoulder, CHP Officer Greg Aiello said.

The victim made an unsafe turn to the left and the truck overturned as it crossed northbound Highway 101, coming to rest in the center divide.
Aiello said the man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead minutes after arrival.
