Berkeley Man Identified As Oakland Shooting Victim

OAKLAND, CA — Two people who were fatally shot in East Oakland on Monday were identified by police today as 25-year-old Davaughn Brown of Berkeley and 19-year-old Jasmine Turner of Oakland.

Officers who heard gunshots in the 1400 block of 89th Avenue at 9:33 p.m. on Monday found Brown and Turner suffering from gunshot wounds, according to police.

Paramedics provided medical attention to Brown and Turner but they were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Oakland police haven't disclosed any information about a motive or suspects in the shooting.
