Berkeley Police Arrest Man With Loaded Gun, Drugs

Police said they found seven or more grams of powder cocaine and five or more grams of rock cocaine.​

BERKELEY, CA — A 31-year-old Pinole man was arrested late last month on suspicion of having drugs for sale and possessing a loaded/concealed gun, police said Monday.

Officers conducted a traffic stop at about 8:30 p.m. Nov. 28 at San Pablo Avenue and Dwight Way. When the officer was speaking to the driver, the officer smelled alcohol drinks and saw cans of beer in the backseat and an open container of brandy.

Officers searched the vehicle and found a loaded handgun, magazines of ammunition and powder and rock cocaine.
