Berkeley Ranks 4th in Nation For Most Commuters Who Bike to Work
New census data shows that for a city with a population over 65,000, 8.85 percent of 4,674 Berkeley bicyclists pedal to work.

Berkeley was recently named the fourth city in the nation where people are more likely to bike to work.
New census data shows that for a city with a population over 65,000, 8.85 percent of 4,674 Berkeley bicyclists pedal to work.
However, the data does not take into account non-commute trips, or multi-modal trips (such a bike plus transit), so the percentages may be higher.
