Berkeley Residents Invited to Sign Up for Bulky Waste Collection
The service is offered once a year in Berkeley.

The City of Berkeley offers those living in single family homes and others the chance to have curbside collection of bulky waste - the couches, furniture or other objects that don’t fit in a garbage can.
The service is offered once a year to customers in single family homes and multi-family buildings of up to four units. The service helps reduce illegal dumping and makes Berkeley homes safer by reducing the amount of accumulated waste in attics and basements.
You may place up to THREE cubic yards of material at the curb. The materials may include items such as furniture, bed frames, mattresses, small appliances, and sinks. Toilets must be separated. Doors need to be cut in half to shorten length. Rugs should be rolled at a length of 5 feet and up to 12 inches in diameter. Painted wood, plywood, or composition board should be no longer than 5 feet or heavier than 50 pounds.
