Berkeley Runners Dominate Half Marathon Leader Board

BERKELEY, CA — The winners of Sunday's 2017 Berkeley Half Marathon have been announced, and Berkeley runners stood tall on the victory podium.

The female winner of the half marathon is Madeline Duhon of Berkeley with a time of 1:18:53. Berkeley women also captured top honors in the 10K and 5K competitions. Shellin Chuong won the 10K with a time of 42:25, while Lily Kung took the 5K with 20:19

A Berkeley resident also took the men's 5K. Ricardo Ibarra posted a time of 17:53.

The men's half marathon was won by Ty Mogan of Bozeman, Mont. His winning time was 1:07:29. Will Weekes of Castro Valley won the 10K with a time of 34:00.

Money raised supports the Berkeley Public Schools Fund, the official charity partner of the Berkeley Half Marathon.
