Berkeley's Local restaurant's chef Dhruva Thapa secured his place in the top 15 in the world's favorite chef competition!

Now he is one of the top 15 chefs in the international competition that benefits Feeding America. Thapa writes in his profile of the competition " If I win this competition, I will donate a portion of the prize money to the Lines Club International's Hunger Project as a member of the Lions Club, the largest organization in the world, I want to serve through this organization. Although I have been involved in Nepali and Indian cuisine for a long time, my desire is to explore Nepali original and indigenous food and make it internationally popular. ”
Chef Dhruva Thapa, who has been running Nepali and Indian restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area of the United States for a long time is an award-winning poet, author, and blogger who has published a cookbook and two poetry collection in Nepali and English language and edited several magazines and souvenir for the local organizations.
The competition is called "World Favorite Chef", where chefs from all over the world who are interested in cooking are invited to the competition in which chefs from any country can participate.
