Berkeley's Chef Dhruva Short Listed For Favorite Chef Contest

It's through online voting you can decide who will be the Favorite chef and win $50,000 and featured in Bon Appetit Magazine.

The Chef of Ajanta Distinctive Indian cuisine and the author of Taste of the Himalayas cookbook is one of the short-listed chefs for the Favorite Chef contest 2021. The winner will be featured double-page advertising spread in Bon Appétit Magazine and with the title of Favorite Chef. Chef Thapa is one of the well-known Indian and Himalayan restaurant chefs of Berkeley. He has managed three restaurants in Berkeley since 2004, He is not only a passionate chef but award-winning poet, blogger author, and social worker.

The competition is called "Favorite Chef," where cooking extraordinary from across the globe competes to be the world's Favorite Chef of 2021. They would receive $50,000 and be featured in a sponsored double-page spread in one of the largest cooking publications in the world. Voting begins online at noon Tuesday, Feb. 16. People can vote for their favorite chef once every 24 hours. But they have to have a Facebook account. The winner of the contest will be determined in a series of public online voting. He is one of 15 finalists who were selected by the magazine for public voting. Voting for the first round ends Feb. 25. Here is the competition schedule: Top 15 (Starts February 16th and Ends February 25th) - Public voting will help reduce each group to the top fifteen Entrants. Top 10 (Starts February 25th and Ends March 4th) - Public voting will help reduce each group to the top ten Entrants. Top 5 (Starts March 4th and ends March 11th) - Public voting will help reduce each group to the top five Entrants.
