Cal Coach Asked To 'Prove' Baby Is Her Son
The boy has a different last name, but the coach believes there's a different motive.

BERKELEY, CA — UC Berkeley Head Coach for the Women's Basketball team, Lindsay Gottlieb, traveled to Colorado to support one of her players. She tweeted a carefree photo of her family.

But the situation changed dramatically, according to Gottlieb, on her return trip. In a tweet that has since been removed, she claimed that an airline worker asked her to "prove" that her son belonged to her. "She said because we have different last name. My guess is because he has a different skin color," Gottlieb wrote.
Among those who responded to the post was celebrity Chrissy Teigen, who wrote, "airlines have asked this of me, too, with my daughter. once I learned it's a precaution for the very real threat of child trafficking, I stopped being exasperated with it. Now I'm kind of worried when they don't ask."
