Deputies Spread Holiday Cheer To Children Of Inmates

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — Children and teens visiting family members in jail last weekend were met by so many toys that it looked like a toy store.

The Alameda County Sheriff's Office Inmate Services Unit distributed toys and gift cards to brighten the holidays of the children.

Donations for the toy drive were boosted by local chapters of the Saints and Sinners Motorcycle Club, Tri-Valley Catholic Parishes, Resurrection Lutheran Church of Dublin, and the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Toys for Tots program.
