Drugs, Cash Seized In Berkeley

Police say a driver was acting suspiciously and was stopped by a patrol officer.

BERKELEY, CA — An early morning suspicious vehicle investigation Monday at the Berkeley Marina led to the arrest of a 22-year-old man found in possession of a variety of narcotics.

Officers stopped the vehicle at 2 a.m. and a search turned up more than 150 grams of cocaine, 16 grams of heroin, 11 grams of methamphetamine and almost $3,000 in cash, police said.

The man, who did not provide an address, was arrested on suspicion of several drug related offenses.
