BERKELEY, CA — The revolution may not be televised, but it will at least come grilled and with fries and a shake.

That’s according to Stand-Up Burgers, a new plant-based burger chain that launched in Berkeley last week.

The “Stand-Up” burger, which includes two grilled patties and double cheddar, will set you back $12.95, is the priciest item on the menu. The “O.G.,” which costs $9.50, is its least expensive burger.

The burger shop is operated by Veggie Grill, a Los Angeles-based company, Nation’s Restaurant News reports.

Stand-Up Burgers targets customers seeking socially responsible food options while not necessarily counting calories, Veggie Grill co-founder T.K. Pillan told the trade publication.

“It’s a little less focused on the health side of it, but at the same time it is all plant-based, so you can feel better about the impact on the environment, and you can feel good about not supporting any animal cruelty,” Pillan said.

Correction: Stand-Up Burgers is located at 48 Shattuck Square. A previous version of this article reported the location to be at 2000 Kala Bagai Way.
