Ecohome Improvement, a locally owned-and-operated green retail showroom, celebrated its 8-year anniversary on April 8.

Founded in 2005 Taja di Leonardi and Nina Boeddeker built-by-hand Ecohome Improvement – a single-stop, green home improvement Showroom and Paint Bar®. 

“We are very excited to be celebrating our 8-year anniversary as the go-to source in the Bay Area for green building products” said Leonardi. “Early on we understood that to be successful we must not only provide green products, but also simplify the process of product selection up to the final installation, while offering competitive pricing.”

Ecohome Improvement made it through the economic downturn and prospered during the housing boom and attributes its success to making it “easy to be eco” by offering a comprehensive yet vetted selection of ecological and healthy home improvement products, plus a full range of services all at fair prices.

Ecohome Improvement offers a wide range of non-toxic and zero v.o.c paints, sustainably harvested flooring, natural linoleum, 100 percent wool carpeting, a full range of non-toxic kitchen and bathroom cabinets, as well as countertops such as European quartz, recycled glass, paper-resin, reclaimed woods, bamboo. They also stock an excellent collection of non-toxic stains and sealer options for decks, furniture, concrete, and flooring.
