Ex-49er Bubba Paris Pleads Guilty to Not Paying Taxes
Former San Francisco 49ers star tackle and three-time Super Bowl champ Bubba Paris has pleaded guilty to not paying personal income taxes, the U.S. Attorney's office announced today, Thursday.

The former San Francisco 49ers star William "Bubba" Paris has pleaded guilty to failing to pay income taxes between 2006 and 2008, the U.S. Attorney's office in San Francisco announced today, Thursday.
Paris, 53, a Discovery Bay resident who earns income as a motivational speaker and from selling autographed memorabilia, was charged with three counts of failing to file tax returns in February and pleaded guilty to one count, according to the announcement from the office of Melinda Haag, U.S. Attorney General for Northern California.
"Paris earned at least $57,187 in 2006, $83,856 in 2007, and $41,700 in 2008, but failed to report that income to the IRS," Haag's office said.
As part of a plea agreement, the three-time Super Bowl champ agreed to pay $126,530 in restitution, the announcement said.
The Associated Press reported that Paris did not return a phone call or email sent to his motivational speaking company.
