BERKELEY, CA – A resolution to make Kamala Harris’ childhood Berkeley home eligible for landmark status will go before the City Council Tuesday.

The resolution authored by Councilmember Kate Harrison and co-sponsored by Councilmember Sophie Hahn would include residences or structural sites “of importance for notable community members who contributed to the cultural and historic values of Berkeley, including to allow the childhood home of Vice President Kamala Harris to be eligible for designation.”
