Rain, Clouds On Tap For Presidents Day In The Bay Area
It was expected to rain a quarter-inch or less in the Bay Area on Monday morning and clear up for the afternoon.
BAY AREA, CA — Presidents Day will see the tail end of three storm systems that moved through the Bay Area over the last few days, according to the National Weather Service.
On Monday, a band of light rain and cloudy conditions leftover from Sunday were predicted to linger into the late morning, spreading north to south in the region, weather officials said.
For much of the Bay Area, the rain was forecast to let up around 10 a.m.

Through Sunday night cloudy and rainy conditions were expected to keep temperatures in the upper 40s and lower 50s for much of the Bay Area, with some cooler temperatures in Monterey Bay, NWS officials said.
Rainfall totals were forecast to stay below a tenth of an inch of rain for most urban and coastal areas. Higher elevations could see a quarter-inch or less.

Light rain was predicted to linger into the late morning on Monday in Monterey and San Benito counties but those areas may see only a few hundredths of an inch.
"Conditions will begin to clear for the second half of Monday leading into a drier and clearer mid-week," weather officials said.
Temperatures in San Francisco were predicted to reach a high of 60 degrees with Southwest winds blowing 8 to 15 mph. Gusts could reach as high as 20 mph. Monday night, the area will be partly cloudy but the rain should clear up. Temperatures will reach a low of around 47 degrees.
Rain is likely to hit before 10 a.m. in Napa County. The morning will be mostly cloudy but will clear up for sunny skies with a high of 62 degrees in the afternoon. The evening will be partly cloudy with a low of around 39 degrees.
Marin County will see rain in the morning and temperatures will reach a high of 58 degrees, with a low of 44 degrees at night.
Patchy fog was forecast for Santa Cruz County on Monday morning, with a 40 percent chance of rain before 10 a.m. The area will see a high of near 60 degrees and a low of around 41 degrees at night.
The Tri-Valley area was forecast to see 50 percent of rain before 10 a.m. Pleasanton will see a high of near 59 degrees and a low of 40 degrees at night.
There's a 40 percent chance of rain in Cupertino and the Silicon Valley area throughout the day. Conditions will be mostly cloudy with a high of around 62 degrees. The evening will reach a low of around 43 degrees.
