Man Found Dead At Berkeley Marina Identified
His body was found Saturday after a passerby noticed an empty canoe in the water.

BERKELEY, CA — A man who died after his canoe overturned in the Berkeley marina on Saturday evening was identified by the Alameda County coroner today as 38-year-old Christopher Cheung of Walnut Creek.
Authorities found Cheung's body in the Berkeley Marina near Cesar Chavez Park shortly after a bystander reported seeing an empty canoe floating in the marina's water at about 5:40 p.m. on Saturday, U.S. Coast Guard Lt. Rachel Thomas said.
Coast Guard officials don't think anyone else was in the canoe with Cheung when it overturned, according to Thomas.
