One Dead In Fiery Christmas Day Crash On I-80

BERKELEY, CA — One person died in a fiery, multi-car crash on Interstate Highway 80 in Berkeley early Christmas morning. The victim's name has not been released.

The crash happened at 5:22 a.m. just east of Gilman Street, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash caused a backup for a few miles.

The crash happened in the westbound lanes.
