Pedestrian Struck On The 3000 Block Of Telegraph Avenue In City Of Berkeley

Berkeley, California (Tuesday, June 15, 2021) - On June 14th at 9:36 pm, emergency personnel responded to Telegraph Avenue between Webster Street and Ashby Avenue on report of person who had been struck by a vehicle.

According to witnesses, a man who was in crisis laid down in the roadway on Telegraph Avenue. He was subsequently struck by a vehicle travelling northbound on Telegraph Avenue.

After the collision, the vehicle that struck the man left the scene.

The man (age 50) was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Department’s Fatal Accident Investigation Team (FAIT) responded to the scene to investigate the collision. While officers continue their investigation, we are asking for the public assistance to provide information regarding the collision.
