ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — A PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff that had been planned in Alameda County on Wednesday has been cancelled, the county reports.

The power company says that the weather forecast has changed, making the shutoff unnecessary.

It was planned originally because the company feared high winds predicted for midweek would pose a wildfire safety hazard with the company's power lines and other equipment.
