Police Identify Couple Found Dead in Berkeley Last Weekend

They are the second couple to have died in Berkeley in a month.

BERKELEY, CA — A couple found dead in their Berkeley apartment over the weekend were identified today as Dora Bibbs, 87, and her husband, Gary White, 56.

Last Saturday, Berkeley police and firefighters responded to a rear detached apartment at 11:30 a.m. on the 1300 block of Haskell Street to investigate the discovery of the bodies.

"Responding Officers combed the residence and found no obvious signs of foul play," police say.

The Alameda County Coroner’s Office has not yet found a cause of death, pending autopsy and toxicology results.
