Slain Berkeley Rapper’s Family Hopes Reward Revives Cold Case
The case of Alex Goodwin's 2016 shooting death has gone cold. His family is hoping a $50,000 reward will revive it, KTVU reports.
BERKELEY, CA — The family of an aspiring Berkeley rapper shot to death in 2016 is still seeking answers as the five-year anniversary of his killing nears, KTVU reports.
Alex Goodwin’s family is hoping a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest, will help revive a case that has gone cold.
Goodwin, 22, was the victim of a targeted shooting on Aug. 18, 2016 according to the report.

The shooting occurred outside at his family’s home on Mabel Street near San Pablo Park after someone the family didn’t recognize rang their doorbell shortly before midnight according to the report.
Gunshots were heard after Goodwin went out a back door to see who was at the doorbell, the report said.
